So lately I’ve been noticing a trend that’s been sparkling around town. Most recently with Katy Perry’s Black Diamond Ring she’s been sporting around town. But she’s not the only one. Carmen Electra’s engagement ring is a solid 2 carat black diamond piece of heaven. Have you seen Cate Blanchette’s Black Diamond pear cut earrings? They were $75,000 of pure goodness. The dark sparklers seem to be everywhere.
The rise of Black Diamonds in recent months might be due to Sex and the City 2 and Carrie’s fabulous re-engagement ring. The 2 carat sparkler which is surrounded by pave white diamonds is breathtaking to say in the least. So I thought to myself , where can I get one of these bad boys (and I’m not talking about Big). So I searched the world wild web and found this new designer, who seems to love black diamonds as much as I do. Her name is Shiree Odiz and she’s a New York native and I am in love. Each piece is the perfect combination of sweet and sassy. My favorite piece by far is the Oceania. Literally, it knocked me off my stilettos. It would look lovely with my black leather motorcycle jacket and Jimmy’s. I can see it now.
